Country "Cute-ness"

Well, as promised I have revised my list of  "You know you Live in the COUNTRY when..."  Every day out here seems to be an adventure of sorts and especially with Jarred's travel commitments being more frequent... I'm learning how to do new things every day!  Namely kill bugs and creppy crawlies!  LOL!  So, with out further ado, here is my new TOP 5 list...

YOU KNOW YOU LIVE IN THE COUNTRY WHEN...
(Take 2)

5.  Rain/Mud Boots are not longer a luxery, but a neccesity!

4.  The neighbor kids ride dirt bikes, go carts, 4 wheelers, golf carts, motorized scooters, etc. to each others houses and now your kids want them!  Whatever happened to the good ol' bicycle or heaven forbid walking???

3. The smell of "money" is nauseating when going for a run, even in your neighborhood.  Not sure who to blame on this one... the cows, horses, or the septic tanks!  LOL!

2.  You use the ditch in your front yard as a boundary for you kids!

1.  You can't get cell phone coverage in your own house!

Speaking of rain boots, I actually got an early birthday present from the kids this weekend!  Just look at these!  I think they compliment my sassy style, don't you???

I must admit, I'm still working my way up to the confidence to wear them with an outfit "to town", but I'm LOVING having them to wear around the yard and out to the garden!  They just make me feel FUN!!!  Gotta love adding a little cute-ness to a country neccessity! LOL!

Oh, and you know what else makes me feel FUN!  This....

I confess, with this tote in hand I feel very sassy and just can't help but smiling when I'm at my personal version of "Disneyland" ... (aka the grocery store for all you normal people! LOL!)  I know, I'm nuts!  But I LOVE grocery shopping, and my sweet friend made this for me as a thank you gift!  Isn't it amazing???  And it has my favorite color (pink) too!!!  I just LOVE it, and the expressions I get at the grocery store are priceless!  Speaking of grocery store, I'd better get to making that list!  My morning is quickly dwindling away.

Since Jarred is gone this week (again) I'm keeping the menu fairly minimal and kiddo-friendly again.  He was home for a few hours yesterday (literally) and we were able to eat dinner with him!  We feasted on steak, twice baked potatoes, stuffed jalepenos, roasted asparagus, and brownies a la mode!  Mmmmm!  I know, my stomach feels full just typing all that, but it was SOooo good, and the best part was to have it as a FAMILY!!!  We've ALL been missing Daddy!  Thankfully, he'll be home late Wednesday night this week, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Meal Plan Monday

Monday: Quesadillas & Chips with Queso

Tuesday: Make-your-own-Pizza & Fruit Salad

Wednesday: Spaghetti, Garlic Bread & Green Beans

Thursday: MY BIRTHDAY!!!!
(hoping to go out for dinner & Jarred will be HOME!!)

Friday: "Mystery Meal"  Sorry, I can't think past the excitement of my b-day! LOL!  I'm sure I'll come up with something though!  Who knows, maybe the party will last all weekend!  Ha!

Have a BLESSED week!
