Colby's Cub Scout "Promotion"

Technically Colby completed his promotion from tiger scout to wolf back in December, but tonight was the official ceremony.  I am so impressed with the scouting program and how it encourages intentional time with your son and preparing him to be a well-rounded, brave, well-spoken young man.  On top of that, there are extra badges/awards to grow a young boy/man in his faith!  It's such an awesome opportunity and I'm thankful Jarred and I have made the commitment to take this walk with him (although I will admit Jarred does the majority of the "parent involvement").

The three white "whiskers" I painted on his face represent the past, present, and future and they are white to symbolize purity as a scout should always make good choices.  The three lines also represent the boy's parent's, the troop, and God, all of which he will need for support to achieve success in scouting.  Just as any piece of furniture needs 3 legs to stand, without one of these legs, the scout will not continue to stand strong in his path.  (How awesome is that!!!)

Anyway, this is mainly for the grandparents and extended family... but the rest of you can enjoy too!

Colby giving his best "wolf" face! LOL!
