Cleaning & Cleanse!

It's Monday.... and surprisingly it's not been that terribly bad!  Yeah!  I've kept myself plenty busy with cleaning and doing laundry today!  I must admit I have a pretty strong motive too!  Today I decided to start a 3 day liver detox/cleanse, and the first day is a juice fast.  I've done it several times before and always had great results, but the first day is always the hardest because I LOVE to eat!!!  But, I love the results..it gives you a surprising boost of energy as well as I typically loose between 5 and 6 pounds and I keep it off!!!  Can I get an AMEN???  I don't know anyone out there that couldn't use at least one if not both of those!  After all my birthday celebrating last week I was in desperate need of both.  I find the more I eat out, the more I want to eat, and the more I eat causes all kinds of problems... namely making me lazy and bigger!

So, anyway, I'm not trying to do an informercial about the cleanse I do, but in case you're interested, I'll post it.  I orginally got it from an instructor at the gym I worked out at in Lubbock, and she got it from a health magazine.  It's really very easy... like I said, the first day is a juice fast, and the next 2 days are LOTS of food reintroduced for specific reasons to help "retrain" your liver to flush fat instead of store it.

Here is MEAL PLAN MONDAY!!!!  I'm going to make this quick... because the more I think about food, the hungrier (is that a word??? LOL!) I get.  I'm constantly amazed at how strong the power of suggestion is on our lives!   It is yet again "kid friendly" because it's much easier for me to resist "snacking" or feeling "deprived" if I am not the slightest bit interested in what I'm cooking! Ha!

Monday:  Fish Sticks & Macaroni and Cheese, Watermelon  (I will be sipping on my lovely juice. MMmm!)

Tuesday:  Sausage Rolls, Banana Pudding (I will be feasting on a lean sirlion and steamed califlower & broccoli)

Wednesday:  Pan-Seered Steak & Chicken, Califlower & Broccoli (the kids will have a cheese sauce for theirs)

Thursday:  Smothered Steak (or Chicken Fried Steak), Mashed Potatoes & Fried Okra (nothing like falling off the wagon right away! LOL!)  I chose this because Jarred will finally be home to enjoy dinner with us... he left again yesteday. Booo!

Friday: We'll be eating out while on the road.  We're going to enjoy a long relaxing weekend with friends in Lubbock!  We're SOOOoooo excited!

I'll post the Detox Diet soon!  Happy Monday!!!
