It is a daily "outing" for Chloe and I to make the rounds to check on the vegetable garden, the herb garden, and the many flower beds...typical "country girl" stuff. Ha! Anyway, lately because of all the rain, our "boots" have been required and things are really starting to grow! Chloe seems to always know the best path to get from point A to B, and it usually involves treking through the most mud possible! LOL! Aaah, to be 3 again. I personally like to look at it as an opportunity to burn a few extra calories ... walking around with 10 pounds of mud on my boots! Needless to say we have a great time rain or shine!
Here is an update of the garden....
BEFORE
(In the beginning....)
TODAY
pulling pesky weeds...
showing off some roma tomatoes
("Look Mama, they look like Easter eggs!)
The snow peas are growing like crazy... look close and you can see all the pea pods! YUM!
BLUEBERRIES!!!!
(This is her favorite thing to eat! She can not wait for them to turn blue! Me too!!)
Farming is hard work!
Takin' a little break in the corn patch...she thought the mud felt nice and cool! LOL!
Looks like we're all set for a bountiful harvest!
