Yesterday was a big day for the little man in our house. Colby had an invite from one of the girls in his class to go to skate night. Her mom picked him up and took them to Taco Bell for a quick bite to eat, and then they headed to Colby's FAVORITE place on earth... The Skate Place!!! Keep in mind, Colby has only been roller skating at a rink once before (which happened to be at this same little girl's birthday party about a month ago), but he's a natural and it was the "best day of his life".... until yesterday. After skating, they finished the night on a sweet note with ice cream sundaes from Dairy Queen. He was on Cloud 9 last night and still glowing this morning! Soooo cute! And, to put the doubt out of your head... Yes, they were chaparoned the entire time and it was not really a "date". Actually, I think Colby actually has his "eye" on another little girl in his class. It's so funny, his voice changes when he talks about her and he says she's his "BFF". Aaahh.. let the "puppy love" begin... I know it's only the beginning of a very long road for both of us. I've already been praying for his future wife and for me not to be the dreaded mother-in-law. But, let's not put the cart before the horse.... I'm hoping this new revelation will help me to cherish the time I have left as the most important and most loved girl in his life!
Last night was also HIP HOP!!! WOW! Is all I have to say. We were supposed to have a "review" night, but that was definitely NOT the case. We kept pushing on in the routine, and I'm beginning to realize why she's never showed us the entire dance before.... if she had, we probably would have all left thinking it was WAY TOO hard! However, due to my competitive nature and the great group of girls I've enlisted with, even though it's challenging, it's fun too! It's so great to be in the company of people who can laugh with you and at themselves too!
The sun is already shining! It is supposed to be a beautiful day so I'm thinking Chloe & I may venture out to do some errands. Have a blessed day!
So cute (although I won't tell the girls about it, because I think BOTH of my girls have their "eyes" on Colby)! They grow up too fast!
