It's the weekend... soccer games, birthday parties, and errands... OH MY!

Even after the cancellation of our date, Jarred still managed to make the most of the day by surprising me at home withWingstop for lunch!  He's so sweet!  And after more than 10 years of marriage and 4 years of dating I know he finally hears what I'm saying and listens!!!  I had mentioned just that morning that I was hungry for those!  Ladies, perserverance pays off! LOL! I'm totally kidding, he really is a great husband! Dinner wasn't a total loss either.  I successfully pulled together the hamburger steak  (despite never having made it before or having a recipe to follow)... It was very yummy and Jarred gave it 7/8 star!  Whoo Hoo!

The kids gave it 1/2 a star each, but they all think mushrooms are gross, so really they just had a dry patty... hardly a comparison if you ask me.  I finished off the dinner with creamy mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, and bacon-wrapped stuffed jalepenos.  Not exactly a ribeye, but it was still good!  Thankfully I was able to work in a run before eating all that food --- I'm training for a half-marathon later this year.

Saturday was crazy busy!  Colby had his first soccer game with his new team.. The Avengers.  He is still #4.  He had a great game, and scored 3 goals.  Here he is in action!

Madeline had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese so we didn't get to stay and watch the game, and I managed to get lost for the first time since moving to Abilene.  I remained surprisingly calm, but I seriously doubt I'll ever be on those roads again.  So much for just "following my instinct".  Ha!

Well, I'm off to bed.  I've got to rest up for the week... Jarred is traveling again, so it's time to earn a few more stars on my "super mom cape"!  Ha ha!  Have a blessed week!!
