The airport went so well, and I must have been on a "high" from not getting lost, that I decided to take the kids to the zoo. Afterall, it was literally down the street. Despite the winds and cooler temperatures, the excitement of the sun and being outdoors was enough to make it yet another fun outing. There was even a fun surprise for me at the zoo!!! I'm not one for gift shops, but as I was buying the kids their crackers to feed the animals, my eye happened upon the most perfect thing for me! A rhinestone leopard iPhone cover! It's super cute and I LOVE it, and who knew, since we're "members" of the zoo, I got a discount!! Whoo hoo! (it wasn't expensive in the first place, but I love a sale!) I am very glad to be free of the pink rubber cover I had since it always pulled my hair, and this is much more my "sassy" style. Funny, I've never considered myself to be "sassy", but my new hair stylist seems to think so. LOL! Anyway, I love the zoo, but I was completely shocked that ALL the kids wanted to do was roll down this hill. If you look hard, you can see other kids hand-feeding the giraffes, but no, my children put on their own exhibit and had the best time. I can't blame them and just sat and watched them play in the grass! They were SO EXCITED!!! You see, since we bought a new house we don't have grass. We have 1 and a half acres of dirt and mud. It comes with it's own set of perks, but they are short lived as this momma doesn't like the excessive laundry that it causes. They were so funny, they even played "lawnmowers" because the grass was so long! Aaah! To be a child again. Looking forward to the rest of the week. It should be an eventful one!
